The objectives for which the Society was
established include:
a) The promotion of good fellowship among Orchid
growers
b) The advancement of knowledge of all that pertains to Orchids
and their natural history
c) Cultivation, hybridization and the dissemination of such knowledge
among members and kindred Societies
d) Assistance to government departments as far as possible in
preventing vandalism and the destruction of Orchids and
their natural habitat
e) The listing of native Orchids in the Rockhampton District
and surrounds
